Living
The living area in the cottage consists of the open plan kitchen, dining area and living space with a cosy log burner in the middle. This makes a fantastic social space to cook, eat and relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range style Smeg oven, Smeg fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine with tumble dryer, Nespresso and pods coffee machine and all other usual kitchen appliances and crockery. Cook up a feast to enjoy at the table with views out into the garden or enjoy a meal from one of our ‘at home’ catering options. Indulge in a lazy Sunday morning with one of our breakfast baskets, the radio on and a paper delivered to your door. Snuggle down in one of the soft squishy linen sofas to enjoy a book found in the cottage, play a game or watch a film.
Two sets of patio doors lead out on to the covered verandah which when open, brings a little outside in.
bEDROOMS
The cottage sleeps 6 people over 3 bedrooms all with luxurious sumptuous hotel quality cotton bedding and blackout blinds to ensure an undisturbed nights sleep. There are two bedrooms upstairs; one with a king-sized bed and the other has 2 single beds which have a zip link and can be put together to make a super-king bed if required. There is also a washroom with a toilet and sink in between the two bedrooms.
Downstairs there is another king-sized bedroom with underfloor heating and an ensuite containing a large shower. The main bathroom is downstairs with a free standing roll top bath and a large shower.
Bathrooms
The main bathroom in the cottage is downstairs. Here you will find a luxurious roll top cast iron bath, a large shower, a sink and WC. The downstairs bedroom has an ensuite with another large shower, sink and WC. Upstairs, in between the 2 bedrooms there is a further sink and WC. The 2 bathrooms have powerful shower heads with heated towel rails to keep your towels nice and toasty. You will find spa towelling gowns to use for the duration of your stay and slippers to wander around in. The bathrooms have complimentary toiletries by Elemental Herbology for use at the Cottage.
outside space
The cottage has a covered verandah at the back which creates a fantastic space to enjoy a Pina colada whilst watching the sun set. The private garden is south facing and consists of a patio area with a large reclaimed table for eating alfresco under the festoon lights. A brick pizza oven is to be built later this year. Towards the back there is a large covered wooded retreat area with a log burner and a hot tub creating a wonderful relaxing and entertaining space. There is also a firepit to huddle round and to toast marshmallows.

A couple of points worth flagging
Whilst we hope your stay with us will be as comfortable as possible, please note this is a brand new venture for us so there may be very small snagging issues that may arise. We live next door and are therefore always on hand to deal with any problems or anything we can do to help with your stay. We would really value your feedback. A couple of points to note:
There is plenty of private parking onsite however we are in the process of creating a designated parking area for guests which is not due to be completed until the end of summer 2021.
Pizza oven and BBQ are still to be built and due to be completed early summer 2021.
The ‘Potting Shed’ and ‘Brocante’ are not quite finished and due to be completed early summer 2021.
The village and surrounding areas are very rural. We have a village pub a couple of minutes walk away and the nearest Tesco Express is a 10min drive away.
The owners live in the adjacent property onsite, we have a young family and an old friendly Labrador.
The upstairs bedrooms can get hot in the summer so quiet fans are provided to keep the rooms cool. The bedrooms also have skylights which can be quite noisy when it rains hard.
As we are quite rural, taxis do need to be booked in advance.
Please also note we ask you to respect noise levels as we do live in a residential area.
